Itinerary

Huachano Breakfast

Start your day with a delicious Huachano breakfast in the city of hospitality. This typical dish includes Huachano sausage, relleno, fried sweet potato, chicharrón, and tamale, all prepared with fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. The Huachano sausage, with its characteristic orange color, is the star ingredient of this dish.

Main Square of Huaura

After breakfast, we head to the Main Square of Huaura, where you can see the historic balcony from which Generalissimo José de San Martín gave the first cry of freedom. You can also admire murals that narrate important passages from Peruvian independence.

Sacred City of Caral

Next, visit the Sacred City of Caral, the oldest civilization in the Americas, with more than 5,000 years of history. Located on a desert terrace with breathtaking views of the Supe River Valley, Caral is a destination that will transport you to a remote era. Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2009, this archaeological site is famous for its monumental pyramids. Learn about the research and conservation work that has made it possible to preserve this cultural treasure.

Bandurria Archaeological Site

After lunch, we will visit the Bandurria archaeological site, which dates back to the Late Preceramic period. Discover impressive architectural structures, including stone and mud pyramids, as well as sunken circular plazas. The Paraíso Wetland, located in the area, is rich in biodiversity, with more than 125 species of birds, including the emblematic bandurria. This species, known especially in Chile as the bandurria austral, is recognized for its size and distinctive plumage.

Finally, we return to Huacho to board the return trip to Lima, taking with us unforgettable memories.
