MAMAHUARMI / LAGOONS AND SNOW-CAPPED MOUNTAINS

Can you imagine immersing yourself in a thermal pool while admiring the Andean landscape? It’s famous for its thermal waters that spring from the mountains with medicinal and healing properties.

In Churín, there are many options to enjoy the hot springs, but two of the most recommended are Mamahuarmi and the Raura snow-capped mountains.

Mamahuarmi means “Mother Woman” in Quechua, a natural pool with a temperature of 38°C. Mamahuarmi is rich in sulfur, calcium, iron, and magnesium, and helps improve the skin, bones, muscles, and circulatory system. To complete your visit, we take you on an unforgettable adventure to the Raura snow-capped mountains, a mountain range that is part of the Andes and has peaks over 5,000 meters high. In Raura, you can appreciate the region’s biodiversity with lagoons, rivers, waterfalls, forests, and wildlife. The snow-capped mountains are ideal for nature and adrenaline lovers.

Welcome to Churín
Our tour begins early from the meeting point heading to the medicinal resort of Churín. Once we arrive, we check in at the Mamahuarmi Hotel, located in the heart of the resort.

Enjoy Local Cuisine
You can enjoy a local lunch of your choice at the Mamahuarmi baths and taste local specialties such as alfajores and manjarblanco. These sweets are famous for their unique flavor and are an excellent way to experience the local culture.

Churín City Tour
We’ll take a city tour visiting Churín’s most representative sites, such as the Emblematic Arch and the Mamahuarmi monument. These sites are emblematic and offer a historical and cultural perspective of the town.

Mamahuarmi Complex
We’ll visit the Mamahuarmi Complex, one of the most iconic tourist attractions in the area. Here you can enjoy outdoor pools, waterfalls, and grottos, surrounded by majestic natural landscapes. Some of the most notable pools include the Lovers’ Pool, the Bride’s Veil, and the Mamahuarmi Grotto.
