Discover the city of Lamas
We leave at approximately 3:00 pm.
A unique cultural trip just 30 minutes from Tarapoto, Lamas awaits you with its cultural richness and ancestral traditions inherited from the ancient Chancas. Known as the "Folkloric Capital of the Peruvian Amazon," this city combines history, nature, and folklore that have been preserved over the years thanks to its inhabitants, descendants of the Chancas.

Here we will enjoy the local architecture while the guide recounts the history of this Amazonian city. From a natural viewpoint, you will have panoramic views of the city and its lush vegetation. You can also purchase unique handicrafts made by local residents.
Los Chancas Museum
Here we will learn about the fascinating history of this Amazonian region while enjoying delicious regional ice cream and exotic jungle drinks, perfect for cooling off. You can also purchase local crafts and unique souvenirs.
Lamas Castle
This medieval castle, built in 2005 by Nicola Felice, is a unique architectural gem in the Peruvian Amazon. During the visit, we will explore its five levels while learning about its history and current purpose as a cultural center. We will also observe its architecture and cultural exhibitions that blend Lamista culture with a medieval touch.
Wayku Neighborhood
In this Quechua-speaking indigenous neighborhood, we will be able to interact with the locals, learn about their customs, and participate in their traditional dances. You will also have the opportunity to purchase ceramics and handicrafts directly from local artisans.
We will return to Tarapoto at 7:00 PM with transportation to your hotel.
Excursion to Laguna Azul, a natural paradise
located on the banks of the Huallaga River, is an ideal destination to enjoy lush landscapes and tranquility.
Laguna Azul (Blue Lagoon)
This lagoon, 7 km long and 2 km wide, is home to various aquatic species such as paiche and tucunaré. You can enjoy a boat ride to take in its crystal clear waters, with strategic stops to explore the Dos de Mayo hamlet where you will find unique handicrafts and sample typical dishes. We will also stop at the "Salto del Valor" waterfall, where you can dive from a height of up to 10 meters.
Afterwards, we will enjoy a typical local lunch and have some free time to relax in the crystal clear waters or rest in hammocks surrounded by the natural beauty of the place.
We will then return to Tarapoto at approximately 5:30 PM.
Aventura en Alto Mayo
Salimos muy temprano del hotel a las 7:30 am para dirigirnos a la naciente del río Tioyacu, este hermoso río cristalino es perfecto para nadar y relajarse mientras admiras esculturas gigantes que representan animales amazónicos.
Visitaremos el orquidiario AGROORIENTE donde descubriremos una impresionante colección de orquídeas y bromelias únicas por sus colores vibrantes. Moyobamba es conocida como la “Ciudad de las Orquídeas” por albergar más del 10% de las especies descritas en el mundo.
Para terminar nos relajamos en sus baños termales con aguas cristalinas y temperaturas entre 38° y 40°, famosas por sus propiedades terapéuticas. Es un lugar ideal para desconectar del estrés diario antes del regreso a Tarapoto a las 7:00 PM.
Salto de la Bruja Waterfall
Today we will leave very early and head to the Salto de la Bruja Waterfall. After a short walk through lush vegetation, including trees, flowers, and other plants, we will also observe various species of wild birds. We will stop at the turquoise pool, a beautiful place where we can enjoy a refreshing swim.
Afterwards, we will enjoy a delicious lunch typical of the area.
We will enjoy exploring different parts of the waterfall. You will have free time to rest or continue exploring this magical natural environment.
Finally, we will return to Tarapoto.
Ahuashiyacu Waterfalls
We begin our journey to the Ahuashiyacu Waterfalls at approximately 10 a.m., a magical corner of the Peruvian jungle. We will take a short walk (10 minutes) that will take you to this impressive waterfall surrounded by lush vegetation.
We can swim in its cool waters or jump from nearby rocks while enjoying the relaxing sound of the falling water. You will also have the opportunity to observe native flora and insects unique to the Amazonian ecosystem.
We will return to Tarapoto at 1:00 PM with transfer to your hotel.
